Lydia Pinkham Labratories is a former factory building in Lynn, MA that has been transformed into a vibrant studio facility for artists and craftspeople. Established in 1886 as a manufacturer of turn-of-the-century health tonics, this sign was a fixture on the building facade for decades and was in a state of disrepair; the carved wood letters were cracked and degraded, the stunning gold leaf surface dulled and peeling, and the metal frame coming apart at the seams.

We restored everything from the ground up, rebuilding the frame completely while preserving the original backing board and painstakingly restoring each gilded letter with period-appropriate materials combined with modern know-how. Stay tuned to see this stunning piece of history head back home soon!
