Amesbury Public Library Entrance

Amesbury Mass.

Built in the Romanesque Revival style in 1902, the historic library features a stunning main entrance with a pair of white oak doors and an arched facade decorated with intricate medallions and carved lion heads. In working to counteract the decades of wear from the sun, snow, and salt, we removed the old degraded finish and sealed the woodwork with multiple coats of high-quality marine varnish, reinforced cracked carvings, cleaned and repaired the original brass hardware, and swapped out damaged hinges with “new” (vintage!) replacements.

We’re extremely grateful to the Amesbury Public Library for bringing us onto this project and look forward to seeing the many exciting facility improvements they have planned for the future ✨
