We’re grateful every day to live in a part of the country where 270 year-old houses are a common sight and it’s a core part of our mission to work to keep it that way. We spent the past few weeks fully restoring the antique doors and paneling in this 1754 home, which included the removal of some unfortunate modern faux painting attempts above the fireplace and a full disassembly / repair / rebuild of the pegged mortise & tenon doors to correct centuries of alterations and areas of pet damage. In our process, we endeavored to preserve or replicate the aged patina of the wood as much as possible and finished everything with a custom blended hardwax oil for a traditional aesthetic with more modern durability
