Glass + Oak Curio Cabinet

Swampscott, Massachusetts

Received as payment by the clients' father as a young man, this early 20th century oak cabinet was heavily worn after many years of loving use. The top and interior were scratched and worn to bare wood, and the original shellac finish had become dried-out and degraded. By stripping selected problem areas and gently removing finish build-up, as well as replacing the warped plywood blacking board, we were able to bring this beautiful family heirloom back to its original splendor.
